Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is an isometric turn-based strategy game for the Game Boy Advance. You take on the role of a young boy on a mission to return everything to the way it was after a magical book and a wish transform the world. There are many indications of whether a game is good. Final Fantasy Tactics has at least two of those indications. 1) Although the Playstation 1 is in its Dark Ages, many last-second RPG's are using the Final Fantasy Tactics battle system. 2) The game had to be reissued, due to popular demand. GRAPHICS: Grade of 'A'. Wakfu, which like Final Fantasy Tactics is published by Square Enix, is a fine tactical role-playing MMORPG, with visuals and combat quite similar to Final Fantasy Tactics and to the tactical MMO Dofus. Players can choose from 14 different character classes and explore brilliantly designed dungeons, forests, and vibrant worlds.

No low-effort posts.Use spoiler tags when necessary. !X kills Y!!.You will eventually get access to guns, which have better range and practicality than other ranged weapons like bows. At this point I sometimes give a ranged character knight skills like break armor, break weapon, etc. This allows the character to break enemies' equipment from afar.Give your Monk the Ninja support ability Two Swords. He will attack twice for amazing damage each round.I generally keep Ramza's secondary action ability as Guts, regardless of his actual job. It's a great skill set that complements most other physical attack jobs very nicely.A Samurai with very low faith and the reaction ability Blade Grasp is damn near invulnerable: low faith makes magic attacks near useless, and Blade Grasp prevents almost all physical attacks when brave is high. Just keep in mind it will be hard to heal this unit without relying on items.

You can raise/lower Brave and Faith artificially with Oracle skills.Geomancer with the Wizard's Magic Attack Up support skill makes a decent hybrid physical/magical attacker with good range and instant cast spells with a low chance of debuff.Keep in mind I'm using the PSX version translation for abilities, not War of the Lions. I'm not a big fan of the samurai class. They tend to be a lot slower than my other characters. Since their Draw Out skills are based on MA, it could make a good secondary ability for a magic user. And Blade Grasp.best reaction ability in the game. In battle, use Ramza's Guts skill Cheer Up on all of your characters to max out their brave to 100. Each time you use Cheer Up, your brave permanently increases by 1, meaning you will have to do this for multiple random battles to get to 97 Brave.

Instead of a samurai, I like to use a female Monk with a Basic Skill secondary (for Accumulate), Blade Grasp reaction, Attack Up support and Move +2. Females monks can equip ribbons/hair pieces and the Setiemson (MA +1, Auto-Haste., and start battle invisible). It's not so much about combinations as it is cherry-picking good (or even broken abilities).Focus on getting:Support Abilities:- Dual Wield (Ninja)- Short Charge (Time Mage) if you're going to play any kind of mageReaction:- Blade Grasp (Samurai) - this ability pretty much breaks the game. Get it and use a mediator to increase your unit's brave to 100 while you grind. It'll permanently change that unit's brave (to a max of 97). Your units are practically invulnerable to physical attacks after that.Movement:- Move + 2 (Thief) - or Move +3 from bards for males, but it takes quite a bit more grindingAgrias is pretty good until you get Orlandu, who can solo the rest of the game. Give him Blade Grasp and get his brave to 97.

Make sure he has Excalibur (you can dual wield it in his offhand if you get a stronger knight sword). If something does manage to hit him, use Night Sword to heal to full.Oh, and make sure you keep a thief around to steal gear. Early game, Wizards are glass cannons. Get Thundara and some MP+ gear to cast it a few times. Auto-Potion is your friend. Sell your old potions and stock only Hi or X Potions once they are available.Mid game, Monks subbing Guts(Squire Abilities) are amazing, especially Ramza.

Yell/Shout for +Spd, then Accumulate. Should kill everything. Move-HP+ and Chakra keep your HP high.Late game, 4 x Ninjas/Monks + Guts + Blade Grasp + Unarmed Damage/Two Swords + Move 3 + Low Faith. With 1 Monk + Item + Blade Grasp + Throw Item + Move-HP+ + Low Faith. I believe Monk healing power from Chakra is based on Attack Damage not Faith/Magic Power, so equip appropriate gear and you can use Phoenix Down or Revive to resurrect. Keep him out of the fight using Earth Slash as needed. At some point you're going to get a character named Mustadio.Never, ever let him die and crystalize or kick him out, or else you'll lock yourself out of a chain of sidequests in the last chapter.Other than that - experiment!

FFT isn't really that hard. A lot of the comments here are telling you ways to break the game, which can be fun, but a big part of how great FFT is trying out everything in the game. You can beat the game with anything with the right strategies.I've probably sunk more total time into FFT than any other game I can think of. It's incredible, and I love that people are still playing it.

We often assumed that if you were not mentioning that you were planning to mod WotL, that you wanted to mod the PSX version. Unfortunately, nearly every user would just assume that we magically knew they wanted to mod WotL, and it led to huge wastes of time, frustrations and so on. We don't exactly want to reply to 90% of topics by asking which version they want to mod either. So, I decided to add a field on your profile; just follow this link and you will see it at the very bottom:You only need to change it if you are using the WotL version (every existing account has been defaulted to the PSX version). This will allow us to know which version of the game you want to edit without having to nag you about it. Unfortunately, this likely won't work with old users because too many will not bother to edit that field even if they do use WotL.

Thankfully, we more or less know who's using which version over time.A. For the last week or so, I've been working to compile all of Xifanie's hacks, tools, spreadsheets into one nice thread, since it was sorely needed, and should help people out quite a bit when it comes to finding what they are looking for. You'll also find a few new things here as well! There is a list and description of every hack in the new Xifanie.xml file, (You can also find the new Phoenix Formula here as well as some of the other Jot5 Hacks, including the Proposition hack that we use to create Marks, for which I've written a short tutorial.) as well as a list of all Xifanie's spreadsheet hacks and tools. Many of these are newer tools designed to make your life easier when it comes to modding FFT, so be sure to take advantage of the amazing work she has done for the community, and don't forget to give her some serious props! You can find the new index of Xifanie's Hacks and Tools.

I've done a fair bit of testing of ePSXe 2.0, and provided you stick to the packed in plugins (or optionally, GPU BladeSoft), I can't fault it as heavily for the purposes of playing FFT as I used to. The default video plugin is slow, but lovely on capable machines. BladeSoft is also progressing nicely, and brilliant to use if (currently) you like native console display resolution, but better. The hacked Pete's plugin is much faster than the former two, but don't look at me if you have visual issues (I can still make it break in each Final Fantasy).I haven't tested each and every ASM or patch known as working elsewhere, but ePSXe 2.0 has surprised me in general. It's still very much discouraged for testing ASM, but I won't fault anyone using it for just wanting to play the game or the mods offered here. I've done a lot of testing not just with FFT, but with 200 other PlayStation games since its release, and I can only recommend Mednafen or PCSX-R over it on the grounds of utmost accuracy at the co. Hello everyone, after a long time in development I would like to announce that Kokojo has release Chapter 3 of Final Fantasy Tactics - Call of Power!

In addition Jumza has also released a demo of his own story mod called Final Fantasy Tactics - A Stone's Ripple!I've asked both Kokojo and Jumza to write a short summary to post here for anyone who is unfamiliar with these mods or perhaps just wants a refresher, I will also provide links to both of these mods, so be sure to check them out! LPs are a wonderful way to gain popularity on these and we also always encourage forum comments, as most of our motivation comes from these things! The more comments and interest mods get, the more motivation we have to work on them, so be sure to give some huge props to both Kokojo and Jumza. Now, without further adieu:Kokojo on FFT - Call of PowerHello everyone! I am pleased to announce that Chapter 3 of Call of Power is out f. We don't know how easy it will be to mod yet, but just letting out the news that the release is now official! Thanks to Aadarm for pointing it out.PS: Of course, it comes with all the issues from the iOS release. Given that they 'patched' the slow effect issue, I don't have a clue how hard it would be to revert the fix (will probably never happen), on top of adding Archaemic's slowdown removal.
