Hk-47 can't attack/harm the Hk-50's until after the reactor is shut down.Thing is, by shutting the reactor down, he would be hurting the Hk-50's, which his programming won't normally allow.But, Hk-47 can do it as long as he doesn't know that.But when you normally try to shut it down, the Hk-50's call him and tell him about the above, thus stopping him. But if you first shut down communications, they can't call you to tell you that.After disabling Communications, if you did happen to see the scene with the warning, you have to go to that spider-like droid that appeared when you pulled the chain, and have it erase your memory of the Hk-50's warning you about the dangers.Then you can shut down the reactor, and the Hk-50's can't contact you to stop you.
