I have a very Light Colored purplish Blue padlock in the middle of my screen that goes from lock to unlock in a flashing matter. It just started doing it and I've had the monitor for several years now. I have tried holding down each button on the front and the only button working is the power button.

When I turn it off and back on, the little pad lock stays off for about 5 seconds and comes back on. Help me please before I hit it with a hammer. Did I mention that Hell. I mean Dell charges $50 for a phone call now if you're out of warranty. What a rip-off! I have the same problem.

I have a blue square with a padlock in the middle of it that keeps opening and closing at random. I have had this Dell monitor for several years and this just popped up yesterday.
I have tried all the 'fix-its' listed here and nothing works. None of the monitor buttons work except the power button.
